Expert Tip. The historic relocation of the Cherokee Nation, known as The Trail of Tears, began in Western North Carolina. The word "galvladi" is the Cherokee word meaning "heaven." This Cherokee word signifies the inn's intent to preserve and protect the property with the same respect as the Cherokee people.
